We come together as a group and embrace, together as a strong and incredible team and take a moment to be thankful for this incredible opportunity, for our safety and for this sisterhood! I don’t think I could find the words to express exactly how much power those moments have had!
These first few shifts supporting women in Tegucigalpa have been filled with so much amazement, awe, questions, doubt, joy, worry and exhaustion!
Many births happen and holding a hand, smiling and nodding and just being present has had such an impact! Language is a barrier for some of us (and for me Spanish is a hurdle for sure) but I feel as though I am still able to connect with the beautiful souls of the women here.
What I can say about all of the doulas working here with Dar a luz Honduras and ALL women is that:

We are Powerful
We are Courageous
We are Incredible
Through all the feelings I am simply blown away by the strength of a circle of women! They have been some of the most treasured moments on this trip so far!
Together we are serving women around us and I’m truly amazed that here we are! Searching, hoping and working together to make a small difference to others. How phenomenal is that!
